Breaking:Buhari jets to London for routine medical checkup

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday left the country for a routine medical check up in London, leaving behind a country that is literally on its kneels as a result of crippling fuel scarcity and debilitating power supply.

The latest trip is coming on the heels of his return from Nairobi, Kenya where he attended the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) at 50

The President left from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja for the trip, which his spokesman, Femi Adesina, said would take two weeks, according to reports, quoting the News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN).

Adesina, had on March 1, in a statement, said that from Kenya, the President would proceed to London for ”routine medical checks that will last for a maximum of two weeks,” only for him to make a surprise return to Abuja on Friday at about 1.p.m before embarking on the London trip on Sunday.
