Banditry: Again, Buhari summons security chiefs as gunmen invade Kaduna communities

President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned Nigeria’s Security Chiefs to a meeting, hours after Kaduna state government confirmed fresh killings in Kaduna villages in the early hours of Tuesday.

Reports revealed that dare-devil bandits killed the District Head of Gidan Zaki, in Zango Kataf Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna Haruna Kuye and his son, Destiny Kuye.

They also left his wife and daughter with machete and gunshot wounds respectively.

The bandits also killed two persons and kidnapped others in another attack on Fatika, Kaya and Yakawada villages of Giwa LGA.

The fresh attacks are coming few hours after 11 persons were confirmed killed by bandits in Igabi Local Government Area.

Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the fresh attacks in a statement on Tuesday morning, also disclosed the identity of 11 persons killed in Albasu village of Igabi and one other at Maraban Kajuru on Monday.

Already, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has directed various security agencies to fish out the perpetrators.
