Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has recovered from Covid-19 infection, according to a statement from his verified Tweeter handle.
The governor who announced that he was infected with the dreaded disease on July 22, exactly 11 days ago, said he received negative results of tests carried out on him.
He enthused: “My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team and all well-wishers for their prayers and solidarity. We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic”.
Ekiti state has so far recorded 132 cases of coronavirus infections since the outbreak of the disease in March.
