Attempt to snatch a ballot box by a political thug in Agwudoko area in Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State has led to the death of one Akaihaba who, sources alleged, was an acolyte of a woman who recently retired from the council. One person has been feared dead following the disruption of election in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi state.
Some parts of the council, such as Anyigba, Dekina town and Abocho witnessed the destruction of election materials deployed to the area by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to an eyewitness report, one Akaihaba was said to have been shot dead while attempting to snatch ballot boxes.
At Udaba-Dekina, ballot boxes were destroyed by gunmen who were allegedly sponsored by a woman who retired from one of the councils.
