Aubameyang attacked at home by armed robbers

Must read

FC Barcelona striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, on Monday was attacked and robbed by unknown gunmen, according to Sky Sports.

The assailants, four in number, wore masks and escaped in a car after the incident.

The attackers were said to have hit the player while his wife was threatened with guns and iron bars.

The 33-year-old Gabonese was said to have been forced to open the family’s jewelry safe.

There were also reports that the couple were tied up and handcuffed during the robbery.

Aubameyang moved to Spain at the beginning of the year when he joined Barcelona from Arsenal.

This is not the first time houses of footballers will be targeted by robbers in Spain.

Players like Casemiro, Alvaro Morata, Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti, and Jordi Alba have all reported similar cases of robbery attacks on their homes.

A few years ago, Spanish police dismantled a gang that had been breaking into players’ houses during games.
