Reports indicate that President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the sack of Mai Mala Buni, chairman of the ruling party’s, All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker committee chairman. Buni is also the incumbent governor of Yobe State.
To replace him is the Niger State governor, Abubakar Sani Bello who will act as the sole administrator.
Governor Muni is reported to have travelled out of the country following his sack. His close aides however claimed that he went for a medical check up.
Sources within the party, however said the presidency and the APC governors were not happy with Buni’s conduct and collusion with a few colleagues to undermine the interest of the ruling party.
