Unknown gunmen Wednesday killed 14 villagers of Agbudu Village in Koton Karfe area of Kogi State, North Central Nigeria. The night-time attack also left six people seriously injured, according to the state police commissioner, Ede Ayuba. He suggested that an age-long land dispute was probably the cause of the attack. He confirmed that 13 of the dead victims were from the same family.
“In that family, only one person survived. His uncle, his mother, his uncle’s wife, his younger brother, his senior brother’s wife, his wife and all his children”, he said.
Ayuba said he has ordered a thorough investigation into the attack
