NERC reels out locations affected by new electricity tariff in Lagos

Must read

Following the increase in the electricity tariff for customers under the Band A classification, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC has listed the areas to be affected by the new rate in Lagos State.

Musliu Oseni, NERC Vice Chairman said electricity consumers under the Band A classification will now pay N225 for a kilowatt per hour (KW/h) instead of the usual N66; an increase of over 200%.

He explained that the hike in the tariff hike became necessary following cash flow constraints arising from FG’s inability to pay obligations to the Nigeria Electricity Market.
