Disgraced former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, has reportedly been evicted from his Lagos official quarters by the agents of the federal government.

The CBN governor’s official residence is located at Glover Road, Ikoyi in Lagos.

Sources said the eviction team was led by Mr. Jim Obazee, the Special Investigator appointed by President Bola Tinubu to look into the tenure of Emefiele at the CBN.

The former CBN chief was seen at the weekend moving his personal effects from the posh property.

Recall that the Federal government filed 14 fresh charges against Emefiele following a report submitted by the CBN special investigator.

Emefiele is accused of criminal breach of trust, forgery, conspiracy to conduct forgery, procurement fraud and conspiracy to commit a felony in the amendment.
