Must read

Nigerian international music sensation, Tems (Temilade Openiyi) has won her first Grammy award for her role on Future’s hit single ‘Wait For U’.

The single won the award for the Best Melodic Rap performance at the 2023 Grammy awards which took place on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, United States.

For Burna Boy however, it wasn’t such a good news as he lost in the two categories he was nominated. He lost the Best Global Song performance for which ‘Last Last’ was nominated and Best Global Album for which ‘Love, Damini’ was nominated.

Born June 11, 1995, Tems rose to prominence after she was featured on Wizkid’s 2020 single Essence, which reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 after the release of a remixed version with an additional feature from Justin Bieber, and earned her a Grammy nomination.

Trevor Noah is hosting the Grammys for the third year in a row.
