A former aide of former president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri was on Monday disgraced during an anti-Tinubu protest he led to disrupt the highly anticipated Chatham House speaking engagement of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate in the 2023 general election.
Senator Tinubu’s address to the British Royal Institute focused on the 2023 general elections, with emphasis on national security, economic and foreign policy imperatives.
He was accompanied to the event by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Governors Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna and Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa; immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Deputy Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Hadiza Bala-Usman; Wale Edun among others.
However, Reno, who arrived at Chatham House to stage the #HarassTinubuOutofLondon Protest was met with strong resistance from staunch supporters of the APC flag bearer.
Whilst the controversial author yelled ‘Tinubu is a drug lord,‘in protest, supporters countered the statement with echoes of praise for the former Lagos governor.
