Ace Journalist and the convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, has been reportedly shot by a female police officer in Abuja.
The incident happened during a live Facebook broadcast at Unity Fountain in Abuja on Monday.
Sowore himself confirmed this on his verified Twitter handle, “Just been shit (sic) by a police officer, ACP Atine at the Unity Fountain in Abuja. #RevolutionNow. Let the struggle continue and even if they take my life! #BuhariMustGo”.
Narrating what happened, Deji Adeyanju, a right’s activist said, “Got out of a meeting to join the protest at Unity Fountain, only for Femi Falana to call me asking if i was at Unity Fountain that Sowore has been shot by the police. This is Buhari’s Nigeria where protesters are treated like criminals. This is why many no longer believe in PAECE”.
