Multiple award-winning Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has announced the cancellation of his yearly concert.

Reason: the steady increase in the number of Covid-19 infection in the country, particularly in Lagos.

The “Fem” crooner displayed on his Instagram page, the poster of the concert with a big and bold ‘cancelled‘ sign.

He said the health and wellbeing of his fans, employees and artists are more important to him than anything else.

He said in the post: “Following increased and overwhelming concerns with the rise of Covid-19 cases in Lagos, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming ‘Davido Presents DMW Live in Concert’ scheduled to hold on December 28, 2020.

“Thank you to everyone that purchased tables. Your support brought us way closer to a sold-out status that we expected in a very uncertain time!

“We look forward to bringing you a DMW live in concert in the very near future,” he wrote.
